A native of Tokyo, Japan, Nozomi immigrated to the United States to pursue her career in architecture in 1999. The unique challenges of being exposed to two divergent cultures has instilled an unyielding desire to understand the universal core of the profession. Her fascination with the idiosyncrasies of place is underpinned by her interest in the art of construction. Nozomi's experience has reinforced her belief in the comprehensive role of the architect through all stages of the design process. This generates an architecture that is expressive in nature but grounded in pragmatics.
