An architect whose professional experience
includes the design of books,
furniture, and custom residences, as well as large scale commercial
buildings.
Laurie Perriello Davis’ work is informed by her interest in
the experiential and
material qualities of buildings and her belief that people need more
from the built
environment than the mere accommodation of function. Perriello Davis
has taught
design, theory, and materials and methods courses at the University
of Arkansas,
the University of California and the Newschool of Architecture, both
in San Diego.
She earned both a Bachelor of Art and Bachelor of Architecture from
the University
of Arkansas, and her Master of Architecture at the University of California,
San Diego.
She was awarded the Dinkeloo Traveling Fellowship and studied architecture
in
Paris and at the American Academy in Rome.
